thinking of buying me a new watch have looked at Luminox NavySEAL`s Colormark modell 3051.BO but want more watches to chose so any tip of o good watch light and durable is most welcome

It's also all plastic construction and feels flimsy as hell. Would not recommend unless you REALLY want a tritium watch.

Traser h3 is also worth a look, its luminox without the brand name. starts at around £100

The Casio F105W-1A is the F91W-1 with a backlight, for only $2 more. Its case diameter is only 3mm larger than the F91W-1 and the case thickness is only 2mm thicker as well. I'd much prefer having the backlight so I don't need to waste flashlight battery power or have to strain awkwardly to read the face. Best lightweight watch for under $15, IMO.

Had my G-Shock G-300 for almost 10 years now. It has been through a lot of shit. Worn in the shower daily, while washing dishes (high school job), in a sauna, pools, salt water, etc, etc. It's rock solid, just replaced the battery a year ago for the first time. I believe it's on Amazon for 70 bucks.

Yea but the light's a POS and doesn't backlight, it eminates from one small side. That $6 you spent probably didn't include S&H because I've never seen it cheaper than $9.99 with free shipping.

When trying to adjust for daylights saving, the crown popped out and well, fucked it up.
It still worked but if the crown got bumped in the slightest, it would stop time.

Contacted Luminox and they gave me the finger and wanted $100+ to fix it even though it was within the warranty period.

Decided to sell it off to a dude who wanted one (and knew about the defect) and upgraded to a Suunto X-lander. Shit is cash.

I'll say one thing for the luminox, it kept time really well and that tritium is nice. The suunto is just as nice but you get a lot more bang for your buck

Has a backlight, altimeter barometer, compass (which is quite accurate) and thermometer.

I'd look into the Core if you're willing to drop a few extra bucks. Basically the X-lander 2.0. Better sensors and more functions. Lower profile also

backlight is a general term for a lightsource for a screen, you're talking about an incandescent bulb vs electro-luminesence

yeah, a watch with a backlight is absolutely essential if you are out in the sticks. just waking up in the dark and doing a quick time check becomes this whole ordeal otherwise.

I have to say gshocks have the worst backlight functions I've encountered though. for A: models I've seen you can't adjust the lights time on and it only lasts for about 4-5 seconds, so if you want to do something like set an alarm at night you almost need to manually illuminate the screen, it's fucking annoying, plus the "heavy duty" buttons are just hard to push properly. gshocks are well overrated, a $30 gas station watch can handle just as much knocking around as a gshock can.
