Another thing I wonder is, does it matter what you're doing? I could see hammock sleeping for a weekend, but not for a week's camp or a thru-hike.
Also, can you use an underquilt as a makeshift bag if you decided to cowboy it for a night, or sleep in a shelter or under a rock ledge?
