>>1223041Just get an old file and a grinder. the temper on the files is good enough for a small blade (though a little on the hard side), so all you need to do is carefullly form whatever shape you want.
>>1224913Yeah, you're already overgeared. I literally made my first knife out of a blunt file with nothing but an angle grinder and some sandpaper. pic related. If you want to make a knife from scratch though, you'll also need some kind of anvil (I started with a large piece of 5mm / 1/5 inch sheet metal clamped to a table, worked just fine) and a water bucket.
