Is everything in the image yours? If so, you can simply encircle the alcohol stove with that flashing. Take 3 paper binder clips (pic) of the same size and use them to clamp the flashing together in the shape of a circle. Space the clips equally around like legs and let them lift the windguard up about 1/4" of an inch off the ground. With these, you can still roll up the flashing and stow it away in a small container with the clips resting inside it.

Very good idea! Though I could achieve the same venting by punching holes like the >>1231554 caldera, but those clips (we call them bulldogs) would be a really good way of clipping the windscreen together AND you could use them to hang the cup with wire for a quick bail handle. Thanks diy-anon!

Yes, that was my first idea, but then I realized there's no need with the paper binder clips which serve two functions then. If you decide to make holes, there's a cheap special tool called a "sheetmetal hole punch" that makes perfectly round holes (pic). Three holes 1/2" in size, near the bottom and three at the top, would do the trick I think.

Good luck. You might seed something with harder metal than a tent peg, unless the tent peg is stainless steel. That may work if the flashing is thin enough.

I saw a scrap piece of flashing laying around the shop and decided to whip up something. There's no need for any extras or have normal holes. This style works perfectly. If you can cut tabs in titanium sheetmetal then you are good to go. For the air flow, I made 6 half circles, 3 top and 3 bottom, using a quarter coin for general shape and size. The paper binder clip idea is also confirmed to work.
