>>1228932I know EXACTLY where that is. It's a few miles into the boxcar road trail. After awhile the elevation shifts a bit and a valley forms to your left. At one point, you'll start seeing small bankment type things blocking the view of the valley. Just over those is the slopes. Plenty of Flint and shale there IIRC. Not a rock expert.
Personally, I think there's a good chance of some decent finds down in the valley. If you keep following the trail, eventually there will be a path that branches off to the valley side and takes you back in the direction you came, but down into the valley.
