>>1231332>>1231335yes, a full face helmet visor or goggles would take care of eye protection
it falls to a matter of personal preference and fitting your particular uses
If your just dicking around on your property, doing the occasional land maintenance chores, or just generally fucking around for sport, then it might not be a big deal.
but if your doing any kind of regular, extended work or other activity with it that involves alot of driving at some distance, then a windshield is extremely beneficial. and if you working out of it all day you might not want to wear a helmet/goggles that long, and you will quickly get tired of taking the helmet off/on over and over. and in hot summer, fuck wearing a helmet if i can just have a windshield.
yes they are made of Plexiglas or whatever. so they do get scratched and scuffed. but simply washing them, keeping them reasonably clean reduces any visual obstructions the scratches might cause.
We used the Polaris Rangers for work and sometimes would be in and out of them all day. it basically takes the place of your work truck, allowing access to remote sites. the tilting bed give you room for lots of tools, supplies, etc.
we would frequently drive it at up to 30mph or more, easily.
i can tell you there is no way in hell i would want to do any of that without a windshield.
if your in brush country the windshield also give protection against brush and branches poking in and slapping you in the face
