>which would be the best one(s) to get?Depends on the budget. From what I hear, Leatherman is good - but its also far to expensive for me, so I haven't tried them yet. On the cheap, I'd recommend the Victorinox Trailmaster or the Victorinox Soldiersknife (Which are identical except for the blade and the color, but the soldiersknife can be had for 20 bucks while the trailmaster costs twice as much). I've used both (Trailmaster as EDC, soldiersknife only /out because of knife laws), and so far the only thing I missed are pliers. And those only when repairing my car in the middle of the woods.
Anyways, get Leatherman or Victorinox(Swiss knifes with the cross in a coat of arms), and definitely stay away from Wenger (Swiss knifes with the cross in a rounded square) as they sell mainly overpriced crap.
Or just carry an axe and a mora and learn how to handle them - you'll never need a multitool again.
