Hi everybody, I'm coming from /x/, we tryed to figure out the nature of the noises in this video, that I took on a tiny Island in Portland, ME, there are no deers or bears out there, no population, and the sound was coming from the top of the pines, birds can't make it this loud. I've been to he woods my entire life, but never heard this kind of noises. Skip to 3:10

Sometimes skinwalkers will throw rocks from the treetops, it's their way of leading their prey to specific locations. It was probably nothing though, I wouldn't worry about it.

It's probably a feral chimpanzee, they beat trees with sticks and rocks as a warning.
People often set their exotic and/or illegal pets free when they find out they can't look after themselves. Call the police and don't go near that area before the situation has settled, those things are fucking violent as shit.

Probably it was, I remember back in the days some monkey appeared in our neighbourhood, and we don't have them on the entire continent, so it was a bit scary, and now it's even more scary, the chimps are sick, I read Edgar Poe's novell, there was a chimp scaring the living daylight out of the entire city. The camera didn't catch the actual loudness of that noise, it was very loud, coming from the top of the trees, not from below, otherwise I would believe it was a beer scratching its horns. The place itself was a bit freaky, when I saw that stick piles I thought the fans of BWProject made some site for themselves, and then that sound appeared out of nowhere,the weather was still and warm, no wind at all.

gunna go with gulls dropping shells off the rocks. its may sound like its coming from the trees but its probably just the sound bouncing off the rocks. i don't know how sound works but thats my guess.

If you're talking about the knocking noise then its a dead trees branches falling off, happens with larger trees especially when the insides rot out before the trunk finally falls. If you're talking about the high pitched chirping then its a bird, the heavy breathing is from the most likely overweight camera holder, and the music came from shitty editing.

The tree structures and wood knocking are meant to imply Sasquatch.

However, the little "altars" aren't typical of Sasquatch, and all structures are at homo sapien scale; nothing there two guys couldn't do with their hands.

The spooky music is also a clue: a person posting a video of unexplainable activity he encountered in the woods wouldn't add sound production. This person is trying to make a little show out of it.

Video's a fake.

p.s. You don't know the stick breaking and wood knocking sounds are actually coming from the canopy. That's just where he points the camera when he hears them.

p.p.s. The music is from Carbon Based Lifeorms. Can't remember which album. Good ambient music though.

p.p.p.s. Note that the little grass tufts aside the "altars" are all equally green and fresh-picked. This isn't an area something has been occupying and building "altars" in over time. They were all made in the hour before the video was shot.

I add music on every video I post, I've got a longer high resolution footage, still the sound that appeared in the silence of the forest that day is barely taped on cam, it was echoing all around, and the sequence of the noise is very different from natural, as if someone or something was doing it on purpose, I was alone there, just wondering around, first time in that area.
