My knees got done in with a hike last weekend so I decided to order some faggots sticks. With that, the idea of possibly changing over to a trekking pole style tent also ran across my mind. Since I'm adding gear/weight, taking some away (standard tent poles) just seemed like a correct course of action.

I'm very unfamiliar with trekking pole tents. What should I be looking for? What are some pros/cons based on your experience? Or, are trekking pole tents even convenient enough to make the transition? My current tent is a 4lb 2 person, 3 season.
