Sup /out/

Didn't find an Alaska thread in the catalog. I might have the chance to get /out/ in Alaska for a week or so in June, but I'd like to have a few questions answered before I set out on any such endeavour.
>where can I find landscapes such as pic related? was looking at Gates of the Arctic
>how accessible would these be? willing to fork out a bit if needed
>best places to find freeze-dried meals and fuel for my stove, be it either gasoline or gas canisters? would rather avoid having to hunt them down and lose a day (also, maps?)
>I'll be reading up on bear safety I suppose, any other wildlife I should be aware of?
>how bad are the mosquitoes generally?

I've got a good bit of hiking and mountaineering experience and all the required odds and ends, including a rescue beacon if shit hits the fan, so I have that covered. Also, pic is actually Elbrus North face base camp in Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia, if anyone's wondering.
