>>1236531 If you know what to look for. Rabbit shit, beaten paths, and reeds/grass/twigs that look as if they were 'cut' at sharp angles give away a rabbit path. If you can spot them, tie a snare to a tree near the path. Rub the snare on some tree trunks first, to mask the metallic smell with something natural.
Cold nights will be your best bet, as rabbits tend to be pretty active to avoid freezing. Check the snares frequently, so you can get to your bunnies before the crows, foxes, lynx, etc. do.
As well, harden up to the fact that the rabbit may not have been killed outright by the snare, and you might need to kill this fluffy, cute, baby-crying critter on your own. To do so, hold it up by the back legs, and sharply 'karate chop' the spot where the skull meets the back of the neck, a little bit under the ears. Then, let the rabbit sit and cool for a bit before you bag it, so that any fleas or ticks abandon it.
