you could blame idiots like yourself for causing loss of lives including but not limited to their own. Or you could blame the families of idiots for suing when said idiots kill themselves and others. But either way you're not going to change anything by blaming anyone. The rules are there to protect public dollars (our dollars) from idiots with a lack of interest in their own safety or that of others.
Don't take your idiocy to some part of the world where it hasn't produced draconian rules yet, that just spreads the problem. Buy the stove and the bear canister. Use them. If for some reason you manage to kill or maim yourself anyways, beg your family not to try to cash in on your misfortune at the expense of taxpayers.
