>>1246737I frequent Cuyamaca quite a bit too. Paso Picacho in the off season when I just want to be lazy and do some winter camping with nobody around, or fishing Lake Cuyamaca. Fishing has been pretty dead the last few years though, not sure what's going on. I hear they're having issue with carp... maybe it's screwing with the trout fishing.
>>1246801I was going to hit Santa Ysabel Creek this weekend for some hiking then drive north to check out Palomar mountain. Specifically looking at the Fry Creek campground to see if there's any decent sites worth my time. Just a few more weeks in then year until peak season for all these weekend warrior family campers. I'd like to get out one more time before then when it's moderately unpopulated.
