So i'm planning my first long hike for the end of the year- gonna do 10 days through some of the more intesive mountain trails of Australia, and have been using it as motivation to keep an active gym/diet schedule.

I'm curious what /out/ does to keep themselves fighting fit for thru-hikes & the like. TELL ME YOUR SECRETS.

Currently I do a lot of stairs, 5x5 strength training (which i'm hoping to graduate from eventually, just not sure what to yet), and hit the pool for more of an aerobic workout to end my sessions. Keen for any suggestions that may help me out since i'm a poorfag that is gonna have to lug my 2.3kg synthetic sleeping bag with me on the trip :(
