>>1240277> I know you can get in BIG trouble for using a relative or friends address. Not really, unless you don't have permission to use said address or you're trying to permanently stay in one state but claim residency in another.
It's a better option if you're migratory though. I'm a seasonal /out/ bum and quite a lot of my cohorts claim a family member's address.
If you're trying to be a stationary van dwellers it's better to get a private mail box. Really as long as you have a valid mailing address and pay your bills most people won't know or care.
>JobsUnless you're applying for something that requires a heavy background check like a government job, nobody is going to grill you about your living arrangements. If they ask you in an interview just speak in vague terms
>Oh, I have a little place in Fremont near 45thThat's really about as far as that conversation will go.
>Banks & Credit UnionsAs long a they've got a valid, in-state address they give zero fucks.
>Health InsuranceAgain as long as it's a valid, in-state address no fucks given.
>Auto InsuranceThis where it gets tricky for van-dwellers. They want to know where to send your mail, but also where your vehicle spends most of its time. Again, just be honest but vague. Say you're car is usually parked on the street in _______ neighborhood because you don't have off-street parking at your place.
If you do have to file a claim on your vehicle and the insurance company finds out you're living in it full time but you claimed that it was only for recreational use, that can cause some headaches.
>Da GubbmentThe big thing with Uncle Sam is taxes as voting but again, a valid in-state address erases most questions. Just don't try and cheat your taxes or vote in a different district or anything like that.
