i used to walk in the nj pine barrens daily and sometimes in summer there'd be TICKS EVERYWHERE, literally like 30 crawling up my legs at once

i'd usually end up pulling ticks off my balls after each walk. never had any problem from it.

Go get a script for antibiotics. You won't be screwed unless you:
a.) Actually contracted Lyme disease, which is more likely the longer the tick was on you.
AND
b.) Are not aware of it and let it go untreated.

As you seem worried about it, you're probably going to be fine. Even if you have it, serious problems are generally caused by late diagnosis.

Then again, you didn't tell us when the tick might have latched onto you in relation to when you found it.
