1/8'' thick is all you need to have a knife that's indestructible through any normal use. Unless we are talking a 3/8'' thick, 16'' kukri, there is absolutely no need to have a knife thicker than 1/8''.
Heck - my main edc knife is under 3/32'' thick (0.075'' to be precise).
Think about it. Finnish puukko knives, that have been in use for centuries, are usually around 3mm thick.

you really, REALLY don't need a super thick blade with terrible geometry, just so it can be "uber-indestructible". Check out Mors' videos on survival knives. See any BK2-sized monsters? His definition of an "indestructible prybar" is no more than 1/8'' thick.
