>>1252096man, this is a pre digital era shooting, and with a pretty old reflex camera, a full manual voigtländer i've inherited from my old man, heavy as fuck.
film developing (if i recall well i was shooting Fuji 200ASA those days) and paper copies are from an standard photo shop (not Adobe Photoshop, a real one).
copies were scanned stitching was made in Photoshop but i've intended to keep the differences between each pic.
this is at the top of Villarrica, a beautiful active volcano in southern Chile, 2847 m, i think in '90 or '91 (

it was cold and windy as fuck after an ice storm, and just staying standing there was a challenge, not to mention get a nice panoramic composite. notice how the crampons on my friend's feet do not even penetrate the ice, it was hard as granite.
there was almost nobody there then. nowadays there is a ton of people ascending that top every day, a nasty noisy stupid crowd that does not let you enjoy the mountain.
ah, man, i'm getting old and grumpy, i miss the old days when you can go and camp and just see nobody around. every place i go now is crowded, littered, or privatized so you can only camp in designated controlled places (a thing i understand, given the multitude of dirty chimps that you find while /out/).
