Do people think your weird for solo camping? So I have a new job coming up and decided to give myself a week off between leaving my old job and starting the new one. During my week of freedom I'm planning on going out in the backcountry for a few nights solo, to relax and enjoy nature. Now I regularly camp and am experienced, but when I told my gf about this she said its strange to camp alone, and my coworkers simply gave me blank stares with one girl remarking that it would be a weird thing to do. So have you guys faced this? How did you convince others that being alone in the woods for a few nights is fine?
