Ive always been into backpacking, kayaking, mountain biking, anything that can get me out in the sticks and allow me to get away from society.

Up until recently i had a close buddy that would always accompany me on trips all around Colorado, he recently left to New York to accomplish his dreams

Since he's left I've been itching to get out and do a big backpacking trip before I leave for Navy RTC in september, but none of the friends I have around here like doing much outside besides the occasional game of ultimate or some golf.

Experiences going backpacking alone? I'd like to hear stories, maybe some advice, I've never gone alone, ive always had my buddy by my side when I went out.
