I'm about to move to Indiana, am I in for good times? Anyone been out to Hoosier Nat Forest or the state parks?

Is it infested with deer ticks? That's my biggest concern right now

you'll find better /out/ in the southern third of the state where the glaciers left off. Wearing a wide brimmed hat soaked in DEET will prevent 90% of tick bites. during tick season I always sleep in a tent with no-see-um mesh.

Agreed, a hat with a brim and a bug net at night will do just fine. OP, If you are into longer hikes the Hoosier Hiking Council has a decent list of them on their website. The Tecumseh Trail goes through Hoosier National as well as two other state parks/forests, I'd recommend it.
