I will be backpacking in Shenandoah this week and am wondering if i should bring a battery radio to listen to the wizards game. Does AM signal go into most national parks? Any tips on radios you like?

Nigger, the radio towers down in the valley are as tall as the ridge the park is on. As long as you aren’t camping in one of the deep stream valleys, you’ll be fine.

Get a Hand crank radio. Personally I've had good luck with the Eton Scorpion II and the older freeplay radios. Not so much with the Eton FR600 or the Kaito KA600

Depends on the park AM can be a garbage signal in areas with gorges and mountains.

I normally just stream off my phone. Most stations either have actual streams can be streamed off an app. But if you wanted to use a radio my grandfather (rip) loved his panisonic. It looks like an older version of the Rf-p50
