>>1261499Looks like it's ok as long as it's in a chum bag. I don't have one, but I'll look into that if I go catfishing again soon.
>>1261512I was trying to do that but I felt a little overwhelmed because I wasn't sure if I was staying too long or too short or anything. I know the trail I was on better now and I'll be more prepared next time.
>>1261516I lose them to trees. Everyone always says to fish in places with a lot of tree cover/rocks and all that shit. The park I was at had a lot, and even had some really fuckin cool underwater trees and shit, like on the banks there were trees growing out of the water. But almost every spot like this is extremely narrow and surrounded on all sides by trees. I have a spincast reel and I don't know how to flip or anything, so I just try underhand throws. I'm used to just using a bobber and shit since I started fishing so I never actually had to learn accuracy, so my lures end up in trees almost every time.
>>1261520Yeah, I need to practice finding where they are. I just get really overwhelmed a lot of the time. Like yesterday, there were fish jumping out of the water at almost every location, but nothing was biting, so I assumed my presentation was wrong, but no matter what I tried it didn't work. I tried to watch videos on how to fish different lures and so far my favorite is my jig, it's fun to fish and I've caught like four or so on it in my pond so far but I have no idea how to fish it.
>>1261579I don't know, if that was the case, wouldn't anyone be able to join tournaments and win?
>>1261586So you're saying you actually go fishing for the panfish and crappies etc before fishing for your target? I have these teensy little crappie hooks that kind of look like fly hooks, how should I fish these if I wanted something like bluegill? should I use a bobber and sinker?
Anyways thanks for the advice guys, I'm gonna hit up the pond in a couple minutes. We'll see how it goes this time
