Myxomatosis is harmless to native marsupials.

The ferret thing never really caught on.

Rabbits aren't really a significant problem in regards to reducing biodiversity anyway, feral cats are the heavy hitters

Once an animal reaches a high point it will decline and find a natural balance. This happens everywhere on the planet. It will happen with rabbits in Straya too if humans would stop fucking things up all the time. The rabbits will die off from less from starvation and more from disease.

Humans aren't the only means by which a species from one area can be relocated to another. Continents shift, land bridges are exposed or submerged, animals wander far from their original habitats searching for food as the climate changes. The joining of North and South America lead to major changes in American biodiversity, over a million years before humans would set foot on either continent.
