Kukuri probably chop better.
Machete probably favours long thin grassy or low brush environments where as kukuri probably favour thicker vines or sapling sized trees.
The large round inner edge of a kukuri suggests the same as an axe, it's designed to have a maximum impact in that area - followed by a slice on the heavy tip.
Machetes being mostly straight suggest that your trading strength of hit for more striking area, or an impresice hit for more coverage of things hit
I could be wrong but they don't look like they're functionally identical so just pick the one you think suits your environment better.
