I wear them often when it isn't winter. I don't really care what they say on them; most I got for free from various companies.
Some wear them to basically flex, like sports ones, but if you just get plain ones or something less flashy generally people don't pay attention.
Wide brimmed hats are way more useful though and when out I usually wear one of those instead and would recommend everyone to. Burning your ears/neck to shit isn't fun or safe.
Problem with wide brimmed here is that you look like a larper. At work or out I look like a ranger/safari goer because I wear long sleeve button down and wide brimmed hat to keep from burning and keep cool. Always get weird looks.
