>>1271835It was mostly just picking out where I wanted to settled and getting money together. I've decided on the plains of Colorado and I'll soon be receiving some money from an inheritance. I recently turned 30 and finally stopped lying to myself and realized that city life is suffocating me. I've lived most of my life in Colorado and while it has its issues, it doesn't make me as physically ill as it does being smothered by other people like my current situation in SoCal.
I picked the plains because 1. it's a hell of a lot cheeper than mountain areas 2. I don't want to be 100% hermit all of the time and want able to drive easily to town whenever I need to and access to wilderness when I need to scratch that itch 3. dirt is easier to move than rock 4. my folks have a shit ton of ponderosa saplings so I'm going to plant them and start my own forest. I'd rather plant than chop down.
>>1271897Totally.
>>1271905Lol can you imagine being this kind of person? So obnoxiously braggadocios?
>I'm going to live a small in simple life of my choosing in a small dwelling>I LIVE ON MORE LAND AND I LIVE IN A BIG HOUSE ARE YOU JEALOUS?!Like, come on, dude.
>>1271925Yeah, for sure. I'm going to start small with different sheds, shacks, whatever. I'm hoping to be able to get some kind of camper that I can plop on the property and live there while everything else gets built up.
>This thing just looks like it was dropped off the back of a truck you can do better. It was one of the first images on google.
>>1271932That's fine, too. The whole idea is to start from scratch, start from ugly, and build it into my own tiny utopia.
>>1271951I haven't lived at home in many, many years.
>>1272030Before SoCal I lived a solitary life in the mountains for 2.5 years. Any time I get an urge I just beat off and go about my day. I've been living my girlfriend for the bast 15 months and I'm over it. I have no interest in ever getting married nor having children.
