My terrain is dense dense jungle, rainforest heat and rain patterns. Everything rots twices as fast, breaks 4 times as fast.
You really do have to do a lot with very little. I've been up in your part of the country, it was good training. Whole entire different world bro. I got altitude sickness my first real day up at elevation. Shit was lame.
