Yeah, I know they carry all kinds of terrible shit, but the larvae do serve as an important food source for fish, bats eat them, yada yada. Ticks, however, can fuck right off. I'd push the nuke button on ticks if every bald eagle and snow leopard died in the process. Fucking useless, nasty, horrible fuckers, and virtually no way to even limit their population. At least with mosquitoes you can not leave standing water or use those aegypti bacteria pellets in larger water sources to limit their presence in an area. Ticks just are impossible to even limit unless you want to soak the ground in pyrethrin for a few acres around a specific site, and repeat every few months.
