Don't eat in your tent, don't have crumbs of food in your pockets or gear. Keep every food item and scented thing in a bear vault. Inb4 they're heavy. Nut up and carry the thing so animals stop getting in peoples food and become a problem. Nobody hangs a bear bag right either and they fail 99% of the time, they're useless. Get a bear vault.

Get a good drybag, some paracord and a carabiner and learn to do a PCT hang. Also, never eat in or around your tent.
