i've posted this before, but as i'm in love with this tent, i'll do it again.
it's a Moss (blessed be his name) Netting Outland, the very same model than this:
https://sumally.com/p/700265i got it in '92 (old/out/fag here) without knowing anything about Moss and their products. A northamerican climber recommended it to me ('m from Argentina) and i just bought it.
it's been with me all this years and i've camped in Argentinian Patagonia (summer and winter, mountain and coast), Arizona, Thailand, Brazil, Morocco, rainforest in Perú, beaches, glaciers and deserts in Chile, all around Europe (summer). Over sand and snow, mud and rocks, sea level and more than 4200m high in the Inca trail. I've carried it in my back, in my bike, and in the backs of african porters and argentinian mules.
and still does not have a single loose stitch, zippers are all good, floor is perfect (i always carry a thick nylon footprint), aluminum poles are original and even the bungee inside the poes is working just as new.
.
even if it reeks to rotten urethane when you just unpack it, the smell disappears in a minute or two and it's still waterproof.
last week i've camped in a lagoon close to where i live (place is pic related but last summer) and a nice thunder storm hit me. not a leak, not a drop.
only cons are that is a bit heavy compaired to modern standards, and that, even if is all mesh inside, can get a bit hot in summer and hav some condensation problems.
i know that sooner or later is gonna dye on my arms, but we have seen some /out/ together. and when i die, i want to to be buried wrapped in it.
