In the past years I've gone from 7 to 26 chickens, steadily increased my garden and learned to forage wild plants and mushrooms. My next step is goats. I picked up 3 wethered Nigerian Dwarf Goats to help me clear brush and see if owning goats is right for me. If it's not, then I butcher them. If it is, then I pick up 3 does and a buck.
With the 5 acres I have, I can't live off the land but I can offset that. What are you doing to become more self sufficient, /out/ and what has failed for you?
