Hey outdoor Anons, I am looking to start fishing now that the weather is getting better.
I would very much appreciate your help with giving me an idea of what tools I will be needing. If you have any good tips for a beginner, i'd appreciate those aswell.

To decently get started I recommend grabbing an ugly stik or a shakespear rod/reel good for getting started and can handle anything from the smallest to the largest of fish

As for hooks to start with grab a couple 5/6 and some swivels as well as split shots, essentially for the moment just dick around and get a feel for it

Bring a good leatherman or at least scissors and needle nose plyers. Extra hooks and the little round weight thingies, just in case you have to cut your line. Anything to protect you from the sun. Maybe a folding chair.

Stop by walmart and grab a 10$ starter tackle kit,c 3$ of reel, a 20$ ugly stik. Then go online, get your fishing license, and have fun /out/side
