/out/, I am terrible at making fires.
Today I tried. I gathered some dead leaves, tinder, and kindling.
I had some really good tinder in my firekit (it's like dried grass and all you do is pull it apart and stretch the fibers) and it lit well, but even when I thought I had a decent fire going, I couldn't get any sticks to catch. What gives?
The twigs I gathered were all from the floor and seemed fairly dry. It's hot and a bit humid near me, but the wood wasn't soaked or anything.
How do I get the smaller sticks to catch?
