>>1287034>You think that weirdo reported you?I'm not that anon, but I'd say it's totally possible. I've been reported for made-up bullshit before, and the police would do similar: They'd be dispatched to the scene to satisfy the caller, and find some excuse to visually speak with the individual. A lot of times, it was brief, friendly small talk, and have a nice day.
Then again, I've also met some friendly officers, who just stop to chat, and I've seen my share of people who find the fucking creepiest ways to check out what someone's doing.
>I don't ever want to be that old that I'm yelling at people who are minding their business and just fishingI think it's not so much an age thing, as an entitlement thing.
For example there's a small lake I would like to fish more. But one side is bordered by some high-end condos and a very expensive subdivision. To clarify, it is a State-owned lake, surrounded by private property. When the businesses on the other side are closed, basically anyone can just go fish.
Any way, the people in the subdivision and apartments think that since their yards abut the lake, that they own it. Those motherfuckers will put down their morning coffee to hop into their $50k bass boats (which they own expressly for this little lake) to cross all the way to the other side, and shout at people trying to fish, harass them, make threats, and call the police for fishing in "their" lake.
I'm currently looking for a place I can put my kayak into the water, just to piss them off even more. I'm tempted to contact the State conservation office, and see if anyone has a morning or afternoon available to do a "biological variety, distribution, and health survey" while I'm out there, on shore or in kayak.
