>>1286430Texsport 2 Person Camouflage Trail Tent
these are about 30 USD.
I use one. It's pretty simple. Just enough room for my 6'2" self and maybe like a foot and a half (like half a meter I guess?) on each side.
pros: packs down fairly compact, easy to set up and tear down, low cost, never been soaked in rain yet (but I did waterproof it before first use), pegs are steel (which works well for me in the rockies) but you could switch them out for something lighter, it has that tarp material tub, which works well... I don't use any sort of ground sheet and am dry, so I made my own carry bag although the one it comes in is okay... it ends up being about the equivalent of a 2L coke bottle in diameter and maybe 30% taller, zip up bug mesh front door and back window which help with ventilation
cons: does not breathe well and is hot on hot days and gets condensation on walls during night, not a lot of head room (A frame tent problem of sloping sides as well), rope it comes with is kind of meh (I upgraded it to some light dacron rope), I've had water pool at the base although it didn't come through... the side peg attachment points are just a little too low... this is not so much of an issue if you don't secure the side ropes and just peg the four sides only.
