>>1290902Well, as a woodie myself, I need to state something: Without any forestation, all of germany would be full of beeches - except regions like the Alps or mountainious regions, where spruces, maples,firs, ashes (okay, not anymore) and pines are better adapted, ore more arid and/or acid areas, where oaks come into play - but most of germany (and well, most of europe) is pretty standard stuff, concering climate and soil.
