Anyone here a fellow /fa/ggot?
Gotta admit, since I got into /out/ I really care about my clothes, from a performance and image idea. I’m not being a faggot when I say I wish the outdoor industry would make clothes that give off a smarter look. Functionally, there’s no difference between a well cut shirt with nice lapels and a weird baggy Patagonia thing that seems to turn even buff guys into basedboys. I look at pictures of my grandparents freeclimbing in wool surplus army blazers and there’s something romantic about the well dressed, rugged, well put-together look. It looks inspiring. I think we’re too utilitarian, all our clothes are designed for maximum sales and universal fits and ease and comfort, at the cost of looking smart and flattering cuts. Perhaps I’m being faggy, I certainly don’t judge people for baggy hiker shirts or neon basedwear, it just looks like they’ve been dressed in clothes made for some kind of 56% American consumer, made by some Vietnamese or Pakistani kid in a sweatshop.
