Guess what? He begs INCESSANTLY now, is on basically every gov't aid program there is (he had no health insurance) and refuses to even try to find a job, filed for bankruptcy before he was even out of the hospital, sued the state park he was climbing in for not stopping him from freeclimbing (the lawsuit was, thankfully, dismissed), and basically goes out of his way to be the hugest piece of shit possible to everybody. Thank god he doesn't have a family. Would've been better for everybody if he'd died in the fall.
