We went hiking hard style (no packs no trail, just straight up in the woods) with my girlfriend's dad and her sister. It was pretty intense. Climbed over 2600 feet to a total of 4200ft, from the back of his property into wilderness area.

Spent 7 hours of my 10 hour work shift knocking wood riding mower crates apart with a sledge hammer.

We packed two water bottles each. I guess her sister brought a pack, but it was just for her water bottles and a small trail mix bag. Her dad and I carried three water bottles each in our pants/shorts. We did it excruciatingly fast, ascended all the way in less than two hours. It was killer. I've done a lot of trail hiking but these people are Billy goats.

Yeah he's pretty hardcore. Not many ticks in the PNW though, out of the day, only my girlfriend's sister got a tick, and we caught it before it bit. Considering we all fell more than twice apice, and had to literally crawl hands and knees up some of the inclines, thats pretty good

Hiked up a mountain that's close to an abandoned reservoir. This big aboveground pipe used to carry drinking water into town. The pipe was never dismantled, all 44 km of it is still there to be walked on, though some parts are probably very dangerous.

I made a mistake. That pipeline actually just connects a lake to the reservoir. From the reservoir a buried pressure main transported water into the city.
