The crow genocide commences every year 1 November (legal start date) and ends 3 March. I average about 1700 crows killed out of one tree on my property in that time frame, and I've been doing it for 11 years now.
What's funny is I'll shoot one out of the tree, the crows will fuck off for all of about 3 minutes, then mob his dead body (they don't eat it, just beat on it). I then blast them on the ground, they fuck off for about 3 minutes, then bring EVEN MORE crows back to beat on the new dead bodies. A half hour of this and my whole yard will look like the end sequence from The Birds, crows just going apeshit squawking everywhere fighting everything.
