The best resource I know is the forums at paleoplanet .NET
Other than that het something to protect your hands, and practice with glass.

I used to flintknap a good bit. Mexican coke bottle bottoms work great. You hold it with a thick ass piece of leather and if your smart you were a thick ass leather glove as well. Wear safety glasses as well.
