Had a post a while back asking opinions on Marlin 336 and finally got one a week ago for a good price (they quoted me twice and the difference was about $150).

I plan on using this for my main deer gun and am not looking to put a scope on it but am wondering how many people use peep sights for hunting? Ive used them only once before on a borrowed .22lr and they seemed to work well

So sc/out/s I have some questions:

What do you hunt with peep and what range?
Has anyone used a Williams FP-336 (pic related). I can get one but not sure if i'll need a new front sight or not.

Please dont turn this into a "This should be on /k/" because theres a difference between outdoorsmen and real world uses to "teh govt is gonna take muh freedoms"
