>>1318485>natural lifestyle>hardcoreyes, i see what youre saying and it makes sense from the common sense perspective, but what i was pointing at is precisely that which makes you call purist or hardcore something that should not be seen just as an exaggeration or amplification of the 'natural lifestyle', but a shift in ones general perspective that will turn those states into the normal way to live, without making them seem like an effort or something extraordinary to do. what is truly extraordinary is that we manage to adapt to urban life and take it as the normal way to live. but that adaptation comes with consequences that are imperceptible from the inside, and which are carried within ones vision even if you go live in an ecovillage or something of the kind.
but once again, im not saying it is useless to try something like this, it is awesome to see people trying new settings, and sharing them with those who think it is unrealistic; im only saying that such efforts are not enough by themselves, at least in the long term, for the ways we experience the world around us are learned through adaptation. a new experience is only possible after a new adaptation that will foster new learning.
