This is Saman Kunan - a former Thai navy seal, triathlon athlete, outdoorsman, and rescue diver.

He volunteered to participate in the ongoing cave rescue, and his own air ran out after he had delivered oxygen tanks to the boys trapped in the cave system. He died along a submerged cave route about 4 km (2.5 miles) long, a route that takes 11 hours to go back and forth.
