Camping is allowed everywhere unless it's fenced in private land. Camping with tents (tarps don't count) is allowed everywhere except fenced in land, forests and nature reserves. Camping with RV is legal everywhere where you can legally park.
Hiking is legal everywhere, and you only need to stay on the path in nature reserves.

You should really read up on the laws instead of spreading wrong information.
