Hey /out/,
I'm planning on doing some 14er's in Colorado this summer and was wondering when I could start. I have a day off the 12th of June so I was hoping to start then, from what I've read that might be a little early for a lot of peaks though.
Anyone know where I could start this year? Or have websites with updated information on peak conditions, I've had trouble finding info on this year specifically.
Also, I'm a little concerned of the difficulty of the hike. I'd like to start with a reasonable peak but still challenging as I hope to have Long's Peak done by August. I've done a lot of hiking from 10,000-13,000 ft so I'm not entirely inexperienced but I have yet to do a 14er.
Pic related; holy cross, wanted to start there but not sure if that's the best idea.
