I live in LA and theyre all over the place. Met one in the parking lot a couple weeks ago. It was weird as it was probably around 11am. At first it wigged out and ran under a car, but after i crouched down and stayed quiet it came within a few feet of me before slowly meandering off. Possums are so fucking goofy looking.

Yeah, but they catch nearly all ticks that attempt to feed. Other animals tend to be more permissive of it, even humans have to check pretty close to notice a tick.

Trapped 3 at a family member's property at their behest because they occasionally dug through garbage. Now they complain about ticks. I already told them exactly what would happen. Luckily I unloaded a few free-ranged hens on them in exchange for more traps.

Feral cats have been a problem here since at least the great depression and we had a strong quail population. Then we had a possum population explosion in the mid 90s for some reason and all the quail and most of the grouse disappeared in 5 years.

I've handled a lot of opossums and many have ticks on them. Deer ticks seems to be the worst.

Cats are responsible for that where I live. I'm up to 26 cats trapped this year. Last year was 16 for the entire year. They are a plague.

Yeah. I really like frogs and turtles too. I'm on a beach so I have the coolest kinds. Beach possums, tree frogs, and sea turtles. Beach deer are kind of dicks.
