can we get an /out/ shoe thread?
Pic related, my everyday wear shoes, and I love em to death.
I also have some Merrell gore-tex boots and some Keen sandals

Thinking about getting actual shoes for /out/ activities, but that will be a while.

So I just use my trusty, dusty Chacos. Had them for a couple years and they're just as comfortable as from when I bought them. Waterproof (like most sandals), plus they float.

Got these on sale for $75 a few years ago. Patagonia Karakoram. Use them every other weekend or so and still solid as hell. Best hiking shoes i've owned.

they might be a bit on the heavy side, but that's because they're not using that light foam most hiking shoes have for the sole. i've never had good experiences with those who's using the foam-ish soles, the adhesive keeping them together tends to wear up quickly and splitting the sole from the shoe.
i've had patagonia, salomon and McKinley but these are far by the best.

Funny story, we had a guy come in once who was so determined to buy a pair of those shoes. Even though they fit him horribly he wouldn't even try anything else on.

His reason? One of the Navy Seals who killed Bin Laden was wearing a pair of them.

soup /fa/ currently i use a pair of these. before i had many different boots. hikers and military. they where to bulky and heavy. or they did just hurt. well. now iam satisfied with this shoe. my next will be again some kind of cross shoe..

Goddamn why is finding a pair of boots so hard?

I need a new pair of boots but I don't really have any good local places to shop.

My current pair are the columbia trail meister mid.

I'm in South Florida so I definitely need a pair that's waterproof and kind of light. Also a non-slip sole would be nice since I've had some close slips just walking on flat surfaces in the columbias.
