How do I go about finding people to go hiking with and /out/ with in general?
None of my friends are into it and I don’t wanna go alone because I don’t have much experience and I would also like to meet new people with similar interest.

Houston, Texas. The closest big outdoors area to me is Sam Houston national forest.

I used to leave notes at my favorite spots with contact info and asking to hike with me. after a few months I did get a reply, game warden asked me to stop littering.
